Al-Mustaqbal Center for Strategic Studies, one of the centers affiliated with the religious authority in Holy Karbala, held an intellectual seminar at the headquarters of Al-Naba Cultural and Media Institute titled “Indicators of the Loss of Trust in the Democratic System and Future Options.”

The session was attended by a group of directors of research centers, university professors, and media professionals. Dr. Asaad Shubayb, a professor of political thought at the University of Kufa, was the primary author of the research paper, which was presented by Dr. Latif Kassab, a researcher at Al-Mustaqbal Center.

The study examined the crisis of trust in the democratic system and its implementation, particularly in the context of Iraq. It also highlighted indicators such as the spread of corruption, the concentration of power in the hands of elites and influential parties, which are among the main factors leading to the decline of public trust in the democratic system.
